Job summary

HABIB Group in Malaysia seeks an Industrial Relations professional to support disciplinary actions, investigations and employee relations initiatives. You will coordinate inquiries, prepare letters, and ensure timely reporting, while collaborating with HRBPs and department heads to handle misconduct cases in a compliant and timely manner.

The role requires a diploma/degree in HR, 1–2 years of experience, and familiarity with Malaysia Labor Law.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma/degree in any discipline or its equivalent preferably in Human Resources.
• 1–2 years of working experience.
• Familiar with Malaysia Labor Law and practices. (IR Act 1967, Employment Act 1955)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation skills including preparation of materials/content.
• Results driven and able to work independently and meet present deadlines.
• Additional soft skill: IR (Problem Solving), ER (People Skill, Presentation Skill and Counselling), Engagement (Excel, Google Form, Analysis Tool), Policy (Writing Skill)

Responsibilities

• Assist in all Industrial Relations activities, including disciplinary actions, grievances, counseling, misconduct on daily and weekly basis.
• Administer domestic inquiry sessions: scheduling, witnesses, exhibits, minutes; act as prosecutor if necessary.
• Investigate employee complaints and propose actions to resolve issues.
• Prepare disciplinary letters (counselling, caution, show cause, warnings, notices).
• Support IR initiatives: awareness emails, infographics, presentations, trainings.
• Review and amend internal policies; suggest improvements.
• Coordinate with internal audit, security and Compliance for case management.
• Collaborate with HRBPs and HODs on disciplinary actions and documentation.
• Ensure IR reports/dashboards and other admin tasks are completed on time.
• Involve in employee relations activities and training; foster workplace harmony.
• Contribute to IR/ER projects and process improvements.
