Job summary

HABIB Group in Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Relations professional to manage disciplinary actions, grievances and employee relations. You will coordinate domestic inquiries, investigations, and documentation, while driving IR initiatives, policy reviews and reporting.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, familiarity with Malaysia Labour Law, and strong communication, analytical and presentation skills to support a constructive employer-employee relationship.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma/degree in any discipline, preferably in Human Resources.
• 1–2 years of working experience.
• Familiar with Malaysia Labor Law and practices (IR Act 1967, Employment Act 1955).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all Industrial Relations activities including disciplinary actions, grievances, counseling, and misconduct.
• Administer domestic inquiry sessions: scheduling, witnesses, exhibits, minutes/verbatim; prosecute if needed.
• Investigate employee complaints promptly and propose timely actions for resolution.
• Prepare disciplinary letters (counselling, caution, show cause, warnings) promptly.
• Drive IR initiatives: awareness emails, infographics, slide decks, briefings.
• Review and amend internal policies; recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with internal audit, security and compliance for case management.
• Collaborate with HRBPs and HODs on disciplinary actions and documentation.
• Produce weekly/monthly IR reports and dashboards as per timelines.
