Job summary

Synopsys Inc. is seeking a senior IP sales professional to own and grow semiconductor IP sales across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and neighboring markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of sales experience in semiconductor IP, EDA tools, ASIC design services, foundry business development, or related technical solutions with strong customer-facing responsibility.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a named account or territory sales role, ideally with experience managing high six-figure to multi-million-dollar deals
• Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows and how IP fits into SoC development, particularly for Interface IP like PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet or Security IP
• Established relationships with design and engineering teams at fabless semiconductor companies, ASIC design service providers, or automotive semiconductor firms in Southeast Asia
• Ability to have credible technical conversations with architects, design leads, and engineering directors without needing constant FAE support, though you know when to bring in technical resources
• Experience managing complex, multi-quarter sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, technical evaluations, and procurement processes
• Willingness to travel extensively across Southeast Asia, up to 50% of the time, to build relationships and close business in person

Responsibilities

• Own and grow IP sales across Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and surrounding markets, managing strategic accounts and developing new opportunities across fabless companies, ASIC design service providers, Al silicon startups, and automotive semiconductor firms
• Build and execute account strategies that balance a focused set of strategic multi-year licensing deals with transactional opportunities across the region
• Qualify technical requirements with customer design teams and map them to Synopsys Interface IP (Ple, DDR, USB, Ethernet), Security IP, and Foundation IP solutions
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, contract close, and post-sale account expansion for deals ranging from high six figures to multi-million-dollar engagements
• Collaborate with FAE resources based in Taiwan who provide remote technical support, coordinating evaluations, design reviews, and customer escalations across your territory
• Forecast accurately and manage your pipeline in Salesforce, providing visibility into deal status, risks, timing, and account health to your manager and regional leadership
• Travel regularly across Southeast Asia to meet customers on-site, attend design reviews, and represent Synopsys at industry events and customer briefings
• Drive revenue growth in a strategically important region where semiconductor design activity is expanding rapidly, particularly in Al, automotive, and high-performance computing
• Help customers accelerate their product roadmaps by connecting them with Interface and Security IP that reduces risk, shortens schedules, and improves performance in competitive markets
• Expand Synopsys footprint within accounts by identifying new design teams, new projects, and adjacent opportunities across the IP portfolio as customer needs evolve
• Provide market intelligence back to product and regional business teams, shaping future IP development and go-to-market strategy based on real customer needs in Southeast Asia
• Build long-term relationships that turn one-time buyers into multi-year strategic partners, creating stickiness that competitors cannot easily displace
• Influence how the next generation of Al accelerators, automotive SoCs, and consumer electronics products get designed across Southeast Asia
• Contribute to a high-performing sales culture where your wins help set the standard for the broader IP sales organization
