Job summary

City University Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Operations professional to manage comprehensive employee lifecycle tasks, benefits, performance appraisal, and compliance within a university setting.

You will oversee onboarding, HRIS records, contract renewals for academic staff, and employee relations while ensuring adherence to labour laws and internal SOPs. A Bachelor's or Master's in HRM is required along with 3–5 years' experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR operations and administration across the employee lifecycle.
• Proficient in benefits administration, appraisal processes, and employee relations.
• Familiarity with Employment Act and labour law compliance and HR audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, orientation, probation, transfers, resignations, terminations, exit interviews, and clearance documentation.
• Maintain HRIS/database, employee records, staff letters, certificates, and HR documentation.
• Coordinate contract renewals for academic staff with policy-aligned reminders and approvals.
• Administer medical benefits, insurance, staff claims, and company benefits.
• Administer annual performance appraisals and guide departments on processes.
• Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, counselling, conflicts, show-cause and related letters.
• Implement HR policies, update SOPs, ensure compliance, conduct HR audits, support industrial relations.
• Prepare headcount, turnover, absenteeism, HR metrics, and monthly management reports.
• Conduct surveys, welfare initiatives, and internal communications.
• Support labour relations including Labour Department, JTK, Industrial Court, unions, retrenchment and dispute management.
