Solarvest is seeking a senior business development leader to drive growth in its utility-scale solar projects in Malaysia. You will identify opportunities, evaluate partnerships, and work with regulatory bodies.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in utility/renewable energy, a proven track record of closing high-value contracts, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields; Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in business development or related field in utility or renewable energy.
• Proven track record of closing high-value contracts and building strategic partnerships.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and trends in the utility sector.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to travel for business as needed.
• Passion for renewable energy and commitment to sustainability initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Lead the growth of Solarvest's utility-scale solar projects through effective business development strategies
• Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within the utility sector, including partnerships and government projects
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners
• Oversee the proposal development process for utility projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and technical specifications
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to inform business strategies and identify growth opportunities
• Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure the successful execution and delivery of projects
• Present project proposals, business cases, and updates to senior management and potential clients
• Monitor project performance and provide strategic guidance to align with company objectives
• Actively participate in industry conferences and networking events to promote Solarvest and its utility offerings
