Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth in utility-scale solar projects. You will source, evaluate, and secure new market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and engage with government initiatives to accelerate deployment.

You will collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to tailor proposals, ensure regulatory alignment, and shepherd opportunities from concept to execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in business development.
• Track record of closing high-value contracts.
• Willingness to travel for business.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth of utility-scale solar projects by sourcing, evaluating, and securing new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and government initiatives.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key external stakeholders, including utility providers, regulatory authorities, municipal leaders, and key industry partners.
• Oversee the end-to-end development of comprehensive project proposals and bid submissions, ensuring full alignment with complex technical specifications and regulatory standards.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and policy shifts to refine business development strategies and capitalize on emerging growth areas.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, finance, and legal teams to negotiate agreements, confirm project viability, and seamlessly transition opportunities into successful execution.
