- Lead the growth of Solarvest's utility-scale solar projects through effective business development strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within the utility sector, including partnerships and government projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
- Oversee the proposal development process for utility projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and technical specifications.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to inform business strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure the successful execution and delivery of projects.
- Present project proposals, business cases, and updates to senior management and potential clients.
- Monitor project performance and provide strategic guidance to align with company objectives.
- Actively participate in industry conferences and networking events to promote Solarvest and its utility offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or a related field, specifically within the utility or renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of successfully closing high-value contracts and building strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and trends in the utility sector.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Willingness to travel for business as needed.
