Job description

Solarvest Holdings Berhad is Malaysia's leading integrated clean energy company, driving the transition towards a sustainable future through innovative renewable energy solutions. Our capabilities span solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging, energy efficiency, AIoT, green financing and end-to-end EPCC and O&M services.

As the Group continues its regional growth, the CEO's Office is seeking a strategically minded Executive Assistant to serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, providing exceptional executive support while contributing to key strategic and corporate initiatives.

Position Summary:

The Executive Assistant to the CEO will provide high-level executive support while also acting as a strategic thinking partner, helping the CEO synthesise information, evaluate opportunities, and drive follow-through on key corporate growth initiatives. This is a hybrid role: roughly half executive/administrative support, and half strategic research, analysis, and project coordination. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, discreet, highly organised, and comfortable operating at the intersection of the boardroom, the business units, and the external market.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Office Support & Administration Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage the Admin Executive supporting the CEO's Office, ensuring the quality, consistency, and timeliness of all administrative support.
  • Oversee the CEO's calendar, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements managed by the Admin Executive, stepping in personally for complex, sensitive, or urgent matters requiring sound judgment.
  • Review and quality-assure key correspondence, presentations, reports, and documentation before they are submitted to the CEO.
  • Personally manage high-level, confidential, and strategic executive support, exercising the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate Board, Management Committee, and executive meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and tracking of action items to completion.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between the CEO, senior leadership, subsidiaries, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely follow-through.
  • Coach and develop the Admin Executive by providing guidance, setting priorities, and fostering continuous improvement within the CEO's Office.
2. Strategic & Corporate Growth Support
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis on the solar/renewable energy industry, EPCC sector trends, and Malaysia's evolving renewable energy policy landscape, and summarise implications for the CEO.
  • Support the CEO in developing and refining strategic plans, business cases, and growth proposals (e.g. new market segments, energy storage, EV infrastructure, or regional expansion).
  • Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential collaborations, including coordinating inputs from Business Development, Finance, and Engineering teams.
  • Track execution of key strategic initiatives and corporate KPIs across departments, flagging risks and delays to the CEO on a timely basis.
  • Prepare board papers, investor materials, and management presentations, synthesising inputs from multiple departments into clear, decision-ready formats.
  • Monitor industry news, competitor activity, and regulatory developments relevant to the solar EPCC and broader renewable energy sector, providing concise briefings.
3. Stakeholder & Communication Support
  • Draft talking points, briefing notes, and speeches for the CEO's engagements with the Board, investors, government agencies, industry bodies, and the media.
  • Support the CEO's preparation for investor relations activities, analyst briefings, and public/industry events.
  • Represent the CEO's office in cross-functional coordination meetings, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Help maintain and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders, including partners, regulators, and industry associations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • 3 to 7 years of relevant working experience, ideally combining executive/personal assistant experience with strategy, business analysis, consulting, or corporate planning exposure.
  • Prior experience within the energy, renewable energy, EPCC, construction, or infrastructure sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working in or supporting a listed company / regulated corporate environment is a plus.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for engagement with regional stakeholders and partners.
Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills, including advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong project management and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • High level of discretion, professional judgement, and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information.
  • Polished interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across all levels, from front-line staff to Board members and external partners.
