VISTAS TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. is seeking a Government & Regulatory Affairs Manager to secure and maintain regulatory support for data centre projects in Johor/Kuala Lumpur.

You will manage policy, regulatory and permitting risks, engaging federal and state authorities to facilitate timely approvals. The role requires 8–12 years in government affairs with strong stakeholder engagement, fluent Bahasa Malaysia and English, and willingness to travel extensively (>50%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, or related field.
• Willing to relocate to Johor Bahru.
• 8–12 years of experience in government affairs or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in data center industry preferred.
• Ability to lead government engagement strategy with federal/state/local authorities.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willingness to travel >50%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor policies, regulations and gov initiatives affecting the data centre industry.
• Advise management on regulatory implications, risks and opportunities.
• Build relationships with federal and state governments, ministries and regulators.
• Lead authority engagement and permitting activities throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams on government and regulatory matters.
• Represent the company in government dialogues and associations.
• Provide senior management with intelligence on government priorities and sentiment.
