Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a proactive sales professional to develop and execute sales strategies for freight forwarding and logistics solutions, including sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and integrated logistics.

You will identify new opportunities, manage key accounts, prepare quotations and tenders, and coordinate with Operations, Pricing and Finance to meet customer requirements and drive revenue.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and understand customers' logistics and supply chain requirements.
• Promote and sell freight forwarding and logistics solutions, including sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and integrated logistics solutions.
• Manage key customer accounts and identify opportunities for business expansion, cross-selling, and up-selling.
• Prepare and negotiate quotations, tenders, RFQs, proposals, and commercial agreements.
• Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Pricing, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure customer requirements are effectively supported.
• Monitor market trends, competitors, freight rates, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to Management.
• Monitor customer profitability and ensure commercial activities are aligned with company objectives.
• Address customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of service issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team where applicable.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
