Job summary

Spearing Executive Search is assisting a Global Electronics Company in Johor to hire a Purchasing Specialist. The role focuses on purchasing, order management and logistics, aligning with business goals and collaborating with regional teams in Asia.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure on-time deliveries while supporting inventory management and process improvements across regional functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• CAN demonstrate resilience and patience with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with discretion and good judgment.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the order status process to ensure accurate shipping and delivery information is entered in the company's systems.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure they are held accountable for meeting shipping and delivery commitments.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and provide quotes to the sales team to support customer opportunities.
• Work closely with local and regional warehouse and logistics teams to ensure products are received and delivered on time and to drive process improvements.
• Manage non-conforming inventory, including product disposition and in-process failures.
• Communicate order status and problem resolution to planners, sales, and customer operations in a timely manner.
• Assist in managing inventory aging and fill rate, including stock rotation and liquidations as appropriate.
• Support group and/or organization key initiatives and objectives through contributions on project teams, including support of supplier management activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
