Job summary

Spearing Executive Search is assisting a Global Fortune 500 electronics company in Penang to hire a Materials Planner. The role involves overseeing purchasing, order fulfillment, and logistics to ensure optimal inventory management and timely deliveries.

You will negotiate with suppliers, support regional teams across Asia, and contribute to efficiency improvements within the supply chain. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years of purchasing or material

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain or related field.
3+ years of experience in purchasing, order management or material planning in electronics industries.
Proficient in supply chain practices and industry standards.
Strong negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and internal teams.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Purchase and manage order fulfillment activities to meet business demand and optimize inventory turns.
Monitor and manage order status, update shipping information, and coordinate with suppliers to meet delivery commitments.
Cultivate strong supplier relationships and drive process improvements in supply chain.
Negotiate pricing with suppliers and provide competitive quotes to sales teams.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and delivery of products.
