Job summary

Randstad Malaysia invites applications for a Purchasing Supervisor to lead a team of buyers, ensuring uninterrupted material supply while optimizing inventory. You will guide daily procurement activities, assess supplier performance and drive cost-effective purchasing strategies across direct materials.

The role demands strong leadership, ERP expertise, and a proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships within a manufacturing context. Penang-based with regional exposure.

Qualifications

• Five years of purchasing or planning experience in semiconductor or contract manufacturing.
• Proven track record supervising buyer teams or leading direct material groups.
• Proficiency in ERP software and supply chain tools.
• Background in vendor evaluation, inventory control, and contract negotiations.
• Bachelor degree in business, purchasing, supply chain or related field.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily purchasing operations, team schedules and buyer performance.
• Monitor vendor delivery performance and drive continuous improvement to meet targets.
• Manage direct material procurement via quotations, cost analysis and negotiations.
• Resolve component delivery, quality and payment issues through supplier communication.
• Align replenishment with inventory targets to maintain optimal stock levels.
