Job summary

Q&C Jurukur Perunding in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to support cost planning, measurement from drawings, and tender analysis across all project stages.

You will prepare interim valuations, liaise with clients and contractors, maintain cost reports, and assist with final accounts. A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying and 2–5 years’ experience are preferred; proficiency in MS Office and QS software is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience preferred.
• Experience in a Quantity Surveying consultancy is an advantage.
• Good understanding of measurement, tendering, valuation, variation and final account procedures.
• Familiarity with PAM, JKR, CIDB or other standard forms of contract will be an advantage.
• Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and interpret architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Glodon or other QS measurement/cost management software is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, cost plans, estimates and tender documentation.
• Carry out quantity measurement and taking-off from drawings and specifications.
• Assist in tender administration, including tender analysis, comparison and evaluation.
• Prepare and evaluate interim valuations, progress claims and payment recommendations.
• Assist with variation orders, claims, extension of time and other contractual matters.
• Prepare and maintain project cost reports and financial statements.
• Assist with contract administration and commercial management.
• Prepare and review final accounts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings, project inspections and tender briefings when required.
• Assist in providing cost and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for project cost and contract administration.
