Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Contract Manager based in Puchong, Selangor. You will oversee contract management across projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and timely delivery. The role bridges operations, clients, and stakeholders to secure project success.

Key tasks include drafting and negotiating agreements, monitoring performance, maintaining records, and supporting tender processes. English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management within the construction or engineering sector.
• Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing construction contracts and commercial agreements.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, terms, and best practices.
• Excellent understanding of contract law and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and contract management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure clarity, compliance, and mutual benefit.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions.
• Manage contract variations, change orders, and amendments while maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails.
• Identify and assess contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
• Track contract timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects progress as planned.
• Maintain comprehensive contract registers and documentation systems for easy retrieval and reference.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, and external parties to resolve contract-related issues and disputes.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant construction industry regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
• Prepare contract reports and performance metrics for management review and decision-making.
• Support tender processes by providing contract templates and guidance to project teams.
