Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced Contract Manager in Puchong, Selangor to oversee all contract management activities. You will develop, draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation across projects.

The role reports to senior management and requires strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, plus significant experience in construction contracts and regulatory compliance in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management within construction/engineering.
• Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing construction contracts and commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure clarity, compliance, and mutual benefit
• Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions
• Manage contract variations, change orders, and amendments while maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails
• Identify and assess contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests
• Track contract timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects progress as planned
• Maintain comprehensive contract registers and documentation systems for easy retrieval and reference
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, and external parties to resolve contract-related issues and disputes
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant construction industry regulations, standards, and legal requirements
• Prepare contract reports and performance metrics for management review and decision-making
• Support tender processes by providing contract templates and guidance to project teams
