Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an Audit Manager for Wholesale Banking Audit (WBA) to lead and conduct audits across credit operations, AML, and credit risk in wholesale portfolios. The role focuses on evaluating internal controls, providing value-added recommendations, and delivering timely audit reports.

Ideal candidates will have a degree with professional qualifications, 7+ years in wholesale banking audits, and strong data analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Degree required and preferably with relevant professional qualifications or certifications.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with wholesale banking products, lending processes, credit risk management, and/or credit and trade operations processes, and anti-money laundering and sanctions concepts in wholesale banking.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements in Malaysia and overseas locations.
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain balanced risk-reward perspectives.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in data analytics tools and techniques.
• Ability to interact with people at different levels and work in a team.
• High level of initiative and drive, with the ability to work independently under some guidance.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct audits of credit operations, AML processes, and/or credit risk of wholesale portfolios, adhering to Group Audit standards and deliver audit findings and reports.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to wholesale banking including international branches.
• Provide value-added opinions and recommendations to improve the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Review and assess the appropriateness of audit issues, recommendations, management responses, and closure evidence.
