Job summary

Ichia Technologies, INC. in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Section Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements.

You will lead the accounting team, coordinate month-end and year-end closes, monitor cash flow and budgeting, and collaborate with other departments on financial planning. English proficiency is required; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/MICPA or equivalent) preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, taxation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and fixed assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close activities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Review transactions for accuracy and maintain internal controls.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
• Collaborate with other departments for financial planning.
