Job summary

Gear Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Petaling Jaya. You will manage full sets of accounts (AR, AP, GL), handle closings, and prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

The ideal candidate has ACCA/CIMA/CPA & MIA membership with at least five years of experience, strong knowledge of regulations, and proficiency in Xero and Google Suite. Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/CPA & MIA membership with ≥5 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
• Experience with Xero is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Google Suite.
• Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin.
• Regional accounting experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts (AR, AP, GL).
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and implement corrective actions.
• Reconcile banks, inter-company, AP and AR.
• Ensure timely payments and maintain fixed assets register.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
• Report on financial health and liquidity.
• Communicate with accounts team and outsource vendors abroad.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Contribute to development of financial policies and guidelines.
• Other tasks as delegated.
