Job summary

MVC Resources in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the full set of accounts, ensure timely monthly closes, and deliver accurate financial reporting. The role requires proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin, and familiarity with multi-currency transactions.

You will handle GL, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations, support budgeting and forecasting, and liaise with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience handling full set of accounts.
• Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
• Proficient in MS Office, QuickBooks and ABSS (MYOB).
• Knowledge of project accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage daily accounting functions such as transaction recording, journal entries, invoices, and POs.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Monitor accounts receivable and debtor aging; follow up on collections.
• Process accounts payable and verify supplier invoices; ensure timely payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and statutory regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators.
