Job summary

KK Supermart in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Shop Assistant to support daily store operations and deliver a positive shopping experience for customers.

You will assist with stock checks, shelf replenishment, POS transactions, and customer service, and you may help during promotions and peak hours. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of retail experience preferred.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and ensure everything is well organized.
• Receive and check incoming goods and ensure merchandise is recorded correctly.
• Arrange and replenish products on shelves and maintain proper product displays.
• Assist with stock checks, inventory handling, and return of goods.
• Keep the store clean, neat, safe, and customer-ready.
• Operate the POS system, equipment, and machinery according to company guidelines.
• Take responsibility for the proper care of store equipment and company assets.
• Attend to customers professionally and assist with their needs.
• Support the team during promotions, stock counts, peak hours, and other store activities.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and report issues to the relevant person in charge.
• Help maintain the professional image and service standards of KK Supermart.
