- Receive incoming raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, spare parts and other goods.
- Verify quantity, item description, specifications and physical condition against Purchase Orders, Delivery Orders and relevant documents.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Quality Control for discrepancies, damaged materials or quality issues.
- Ensure all received materials are properly identified, labelled and stored.
B. Material Storage & Inventory Control
- Properly arrange and store materials according to designated locations and storage requirements.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of all materials.
- Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages, excess stock or slow-moving items to management.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
C. Material Issuing & Production Support
- Issue raw materials, consumables and other items to Production based on approved material requisitions or system transactions.
- Ensure the correct material, quantity and specification are issued.
- Coordinate closely with Production Planning and Production Department to ensure materials are available according to the production schedule.
- Record all material movements accurately and on a timely basis.
- Monitor return of unused materials from production and ensure proper recording and storage.
D. Finished Goods & Dispatch
- Receive and record finished goods transferred from Production.
- Ensure finished goods are properly labelled, identified and stored according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales, Planning and Logistics for customer deliveries.
- Ensure proper documentation for all outgoing shipments.
E. Inventory Accuracy & Stock Take
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock checks.
- Participate in monthly and annual stock counts as required.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
- Reconcile physical stock against system records and maintain good traceability of inventory movements.
F. Warehouse Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness within the store and warehouse areas.
- Ensure proper use of forklifts, pallet trucks and other material-handling equipment where applicable.
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or potential hazards to management immediately.
G. Documentation & Administration
- Maintain proper records for receiving, issuing, transferring and dispatching of materials.
- Update inventory transactions in the Autocount system accurately and promptly.
2. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Diploma or Certificate in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant working experience but without the above qualification may also be considered.
Working Experience
- Preferably 2–5 years of experience in warehouse/store/inventory operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience in the wire, cable, copper, electrical or metal manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
- Experience handling raw materials, WIP and finished goods is preferred.
3. REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Good knowledge of warehouse, inventory control procedures. stock receiving, issuing and reconciliation.
- Able to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
