Job summary

Lumileds is seeking a highly-qualified Staff/Senior Technical Project Lead to take responsibility for the Development Life Cycle for Automotive/Non-Automotive industry. You will develop & support product development activities for new product/package/technology.

You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians, coordinate worldwide ramp to high volume after release, and ensure robust product releases through APQP, DOE, SPC, and FMEA processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science with relevant experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably LED.
• Experience with Automotive product development processes (APQP).
• Strong knowledge of DOE, SPC, Process Flow, Control Plan and FMEA.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Define, plan and execute product development programs from concept to release (MPR).
• Support worldwide R&D, TSM and Product Marketing on roadmaps.
• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians across disciplines.

Scope of effort is worldwide / multi-regional, and spans multiple functions across the corporation. The position requires a technically grounded individual with a broad-based and varied skill set / experience, with priority on communication and issue resolution.

Position Summary:

Lumileds is seeking a highly-qualified Staff/Senior Technical Project Lead to take responsibility for Development Life Cycle for Automotive/Non-Automotive Industry.

In this role, you will develop & support product development activities for new product/package/technology.

What You Will Do:

• Technical Project Lead (TPL) to define, plan and execute Product Development program (Automotive and Non Automotive) according to BCP (Business Creation Process), Leadproduct development tasks, from early concept/prototyping, through design & development to product release (MPR).
• To support Worldwide R&D, TSM and Product Marketing in the execution of new/customized product and technology roadmap.
• Lead a cross-functional team (local/ oversea) of engineers and technicians encompassing a wide spectrum of disciplines – Material Expert; Design; Product Lines, Finance, SCM, PMO, Quality and Reliability to achieve a timely and robust product release.
• Work closely with in-house/External Product Lines in ramping new products to high volume after product release (MPR), yield stabilization & improvement.
• Utilise manufacturing process development experience (Automotive Standard)- parameters of significance, typical document types, industrial engineering fundamentals, etc.
• Complies with environment, security, health and safety requirements.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science with minimum seven years of engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably in LED industry
• Demonstrated capability of Product Development Program according to Automotive product development process/methodology (Business creation process; APQP).
• Strong hands-on experience with Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Process Flow, Control Plan and Failure Mode Effect & Analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
