Job summary

Bitdeer in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Senior / Staff Physical Verification Engineer to own PV checks from block to full-chip level and drive the entire physical design flow from netlist to GDSII in collaboration with Backend teams.

You will perform PV signoff including DRC, LVS, ERC, and reliability checks, monitor runs, and work with Place & Route to resolve issues. Scripting in Perl/Tcl and automation contributions are strongly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on physical verification experience with advanced nodes (N4 and below preferred).
• Proficiency with Calibre and understanding of IC design flow from front-end to back-end signoff.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, Tcl; Make scripting is a plus.
• Tape-out experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PV signoff for advanced-node ASIC/SoC designs (DRC, LVS, ERC, ANT, ESD, PERC/Reliability).
• Monitor and manage PV runs, resource usage, and tape-out milestones.
• Collaborate with Place & Route to resolve full-chip layout issues.
• Support the physical design flow from netlist to GDSII.
• Develop automation solutions to improve tape-out efficiency.
• Contribute to PD methodology and flow automation via scripts.
