Job summary

Executive Compass in Kulim, Malaysia seeks a seasoned Process Engineer to manage IC-Substrate, HDI-PCB, Assembly and IC-Packaging equipment. You will coordinate maintenance activities to guarantee equipment availability and quality output for the plant and lead troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Engineering degree and at least five years of related experience, plus knowledge of SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA and CP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Process engineering experience in IC-Substrate, HDI-PCB, Assembly, IC-Packaging or related industry.
• Knowledge of project management, data evaluation and DOE.
• Knowledge of quality tools like SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, etc.
• Good analytical skills with attention to details.
• Good stress management skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Team spirit (able to be part of team and team leader as well).
• Willing to work during weekend / public holiday according to the duty roster.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute activities to guarantee equipment availability and quality output for the plant.
• Decrease the equipment downtime and ensure smooth operation.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting and repair with quality requirements.
• Develop and implement effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) on equipment.
• Track and control of PM’s quality and survival rate.
• Identify critical spare part availability and work with Purchasing for parts and supplier management.
• Maximize equipment performance through Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Participate in new equipment setup and release activities (hook-up, installation, specs review, materials purchase, HVM readiness).
• Coordinate with Hook-up engineer to meet start-up schedule.
• Identify risks and define mitigation plans.
• Coordinate and execute training for department staff.
• Other duties as assigned by superior.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and execution all activities that are necessary to guarantee the defined equipment availability and quality output for the plant.
• Decrease the equipment downtime and make sure that the equipment able to run smoothly.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting and repair in permanent consideration of quality requirements.
• Develop and implement effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) on equipment.
• Track and control of PM’s quality and survival rate
• Identified critical spare part availability and work closely with Purchasing Department for the spare part and supplier management.
• Maximize equipment performance or productivity through actively participate in Continuous Improvement Plan
• Participate and engage in new equipment setup and release activities (hook-up, equipment installation, specs review, supporting material purchase, HVM readiness, etc.).
• Responsible to coordinate with Hook-up engineer and other related counterpart to ensure that equipment hook-up and release able to meet the start-up schedule.
• Identify risks in responsible area. Escalate and define mitigation plan to the risk identified.
• Coordination and execution for continuous training for employees within the department

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering/ related field from university or higher technical college
• Min 5 years of Process engineering’s experience in IC-Substrate, HDI-PCB, Assembly, IC-Packaging or related industry.
