Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) seeks a test engineer for new product development focusing on ATE test solution development, test program coding and debugging, and production release.

The candidate will design component-level circuits for precision parametric measurements and develop automated test systems for analog and mixed-signal ICs, with involvement across all product development phases and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or similar.
• 3–10 years of power management IC testing experience.
• Familiar with ATE test development processes and qualification criteria.
• Experienced with ATE platforms such as Teradyne ETS-88/ETS-364/J750 and CTA8280F/CTA8290D.
• Cadence schematic tools familiarity and PCB layout is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to locate in Malaysia Penang and travel to China/worldwide subcontractors.
• Good written and oral communication in English and Chinese.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with IC developers worldwide.

Job Description:

This position’s responsibility is new product development that includes ATE test solution development, test program coding and debugging, and production release.

Responsibilities:

• Designs component-level circuits for precision parametric measurement, dynamic signal analysis and creates automated test system software for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
• Involved in all phases of product development: design for testability, IOS, test hardware and software design, hands-on debugging, correlation, characterization and production release.
• Possesses knowledge of major concepts of test engineering and has the ability to apply these concepts to a wide range of complex assignments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above, majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or similar areas.
• 3~10 years power management IC testing experience. Focus on NPD/NPI test development. Familiar with ATE test development key process and qualification criteria.
• Solid experience in semiconductor power IC and familiar with ATE test platforms, such as Teradyne ETS-88(Preferred), ETS-364, J750, Changchuan CTA8280F(Preferred), CTA8290D(Preferred).
• Familiar with Cadence schematic tools and PCB layout experience is a plus but not a must.
• Can locate in Malaysia Penang office and willing to travel in China and worldwide subcontractor.
• Good written and oral communications skills in English and Chinese.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills to work with IC developers worldwide.
