Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) seeks a test engineer for new product development focusing on ATE test solution development, test program coding and debugging, and production release.

The candidate will design component-level circuits for precision parametric measurements and develop automated test systems for analog and mixed-signal ICs, with involvement across all product development phases and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or similar.
• 3–10 years of power management IC testing experience.
• Familiar with ATE test development processes and qualification criteria.
• Experienced with ATE platforms such as Teradyne ETS-88/ETS-364/J750 and CTA8280F/CTA8290D.
• Cadence schematic tools familiarity and PCB layout is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to locate in Malaysia Penang and travel to China/worldwide subcontractors.
• Good written and oral communication in English and Chinese.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with IC developers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Designs component-level circuits for precision parametric measurement and creates automated test system software for analog/mixed-signal ICs.
• Involved in all product development phases: design for testability, IOS, test hardware/software, debugging, correlation, characterization and production release.
• Applies core test engineering concepts to a wide range of complex assignments.
