Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) is seeking an Applications Engineer in Penang, Malaysia to provide technical training and hands-on support for customers and field engineers.

You will visit customers, promote new products, and gather feedback to drive product improvements in power management ICs. You will develop application reference circuits, work with design, field applications and marketing on IC debugs, and support product definition with the marketing team.

Qualifications

• MSEE or equivalent required; experience in power management ICs is a plus.
• Familiar with buck/boost/topologies; hardware implementation skills.
• Ability to analyze complex analog and power electronic circuits; strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and technical training for customers and field engineers.
• Visit customers to promote MPS new products and collect feedback and requirements.
• Develop application reference circuits according to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineers, field applications and marketing on IC debugs.
• Assist on product definition with a technical marketing engineer.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Job Description:

• Provide application support and technical training for customers and field application and sales engineers.
• Visit customers to promote MPS new product and collect customer’s feedback and requirement.
• Develop application reference circuits according to customer requirement.
• Work with design engineers, field applications and marketing team on IC debugs.
• Work with technical marketing engineer to assist on product definition.
• Perform other jobs assigned by manager.

Requirements:

• MSEE or equivalent, experience power management IC related job is a plus.
• Familiar with basic buck/boost/buck-boost etc. topologies.
• With hardware implementation skills.
• With ability of analyzing complex analog and power electronic circuits.
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Fluent communication skills in Chinese and English.
• Ability to take initiative in problem solving.
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and good team spirit.
