Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality management system and ensure operations meet stringent standards.

You will drive audits, corrective actions, and certification efforts, build a robust quality culture across departments, and mentor internal auditors to sustain continuous improvement.

This role requires 5+ years in QMS leadership and a strategic mindset to align quality with business goals.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in leadership roles within QMS, preferably with product/process/customer quality experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to foster quality culture across departments.
• Ability to identify and drive simple yet effective quality improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective QMS to ensure operations comply with quality standards.
• Oversee Incoming, In Process, and Outgoing Quality with closed-loop corrective actions.
• Manage change control and MRB implementation to control non-conforming material.
• Lead FMEA/Control plan reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure ROHS and REACH compliance of products.
• Support customer audits and certifications to enable new design wins and ramp-up.
• Establish certification roadmaps per ISO9001, EHS14001, IATF, RBA, etc.
• Develop industry insights on evolving customer quality requirements and readiness of ops.
• Drive audits to achieve high ratings with minimal findings and close-loop fixes.
• Develop/train internal auditors and sustain a capable audit team.
• Deliver certification trainings.

Job Descriptions

• Develop, implement and maintain effective Quality Management System to ensure all operations are in compliance with quality standards and expectations
• Ensure Incoming Quality, In Process Quality, and Out Going Inspection are effectively performed with close loop feedback and corrective actions
• Ensure effective change management and MRB (Material Review Board) implementation
• Facilitate effective FMEA/Control plan review to ensure all risks are effectively identified and addressed
• Ensure products are meeting ROHS and REACH requirements
• Facilitate effective customer audits and/or industry certification to enable new design wins and timely production ramp
• Establish factory certification roadmap and execution plan with respective to various industry standards e.g. ISO9001, EHS140001, IATF, RBA etc.
• Build up industry insight on emerging customer quality requirements and ensure the readiness of the operation team e.g. Class 3 requirements etc.
• Facilitate effective customer and/or regulatory audit and ensure the factory certified with high score/rating with minimal (Zero as the goal) minor/major findings
• Drive close-loop closure on audit findings with systemic fixes
• Develop and train internal auditors with relevant industry standard with sustainable audit team structure
• Be the trainer for all certification courses
• Facilitate annual management review meeting with close-loop action plans
• Drive self-driven internal audit teams to drive business process compliance and effectiveness
