Qualifications

• Strong QA/QC principles and problem-solving methods.
• Experience with sheet metal products and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with inspection instruments and MS Excel data reporting.
• Analytical thinking and cross-functional communication.
• Experience in electronics or power supply manufacturing preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a SQE Engineer to join TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Senai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across our manufacturing operations. As an SQE Engineer, you will be responsible for supplier quality management and engineering support, working to maintain our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Raw Material Non-Conformances: Investigate and verify issues identified by IQA, Production, or Customers. Coordinate with suppliers to drive Root Cause Analysis and ensure the timely submission and validation of Corrective Action Reports (CAR).
• Technical Expertise: Strong familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is highly advantageous.
• Continuous Improvement of IQA: Optimize Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) inspection protocols to enhance defect detection and containment.
• Supplier Performance Management: Evaluate and maintain supplier quality metrics, ensuring the quality database is accurate and up to date.
• Data-Driven Reviews: Conduct monthly quality performance analysis and lead periodic reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Quality Auditing: Plan and execute annual supplier surveillance audits to ensure full compliance with quality management systems and requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of quality standards, regulations and industry best practices relevant to manufacturing.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or equivalent and audit procedures.
• Deep knowledge of QA/QC principles and methodology.
• Expertise in quality problem-solving tools, including 7 QC Tools, FMEA, 8D, and 5 Why analysis.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in operating inspection and measurement instruments.
• Strong capability in data analysis and reporting utilizing MS Excel.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and cross-functional communication skills.
• Specialized knowledge of sheet metal products, fabrication processes, and defect types.
• Experience in the electronics or power supply manufacturing industry is preferred.
