Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an Optical Inspection Equipment Engineer to manage SPI, AOI, and AXI across the factory, establishing operation, maintenance, and repair standards.

You will review and optimize inspection programs, lead fault resolution and calibration, develop SOPs and training, and collaborate with Quality and customers to improve efficiency and reduce false calls.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 2-3+ years of optical inspection equipment engineer experience in server PCBA or electronics manufacturing.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 standards and able to optimize inspection solutions and manage new equipment introductions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical management of optical inspection equipment across the factory (SPI, AOI, AXI) and set operation standards.
• Review and optimize inspection programs; control false-call and escape rates on the production line.

Job description

1. Responsible for the technical management of optical inspection equipment across the entire factory, including SPI, AOI, and AXI, and establish equipment operation, maintenance, and repair standards.

2. Responsible for the review, optimization, and standardization of inspection programs, while managing and controlling the false-call and escape rates of inspection equipment across the production line.

3. Lead the troubleshooting of major equipment failures, equipment accuracy calibration, and performance optimization; take charge of new equipment selection, introduction, installation, commissioning, and acceptance.

4. Develop optical inspection standards and SOPs, and provide technical training and talent development for optical inspection technicians.

5. Collaborate with the Quality Department and customers to optimize optical inspection solutions and support customer audits.

6. Optimize inspection processes to improve inspection efficiency and reduce false-call rates.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or above in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

2. 2-3+ years of experience as an optical inspection equipment engineer in server PCBA or other electronics manufacturing industries. Proficient in the principles, programming, debugging, and maintenance of SPI, SMT/DIP AOI, and AXI equipment.

3. Familiar with IPC-A-610 standards and able to independently optimize inspection solutions, perform equipment accuracy calibration, and manage the introduction of new equipment.

4. Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate with customers regarding technical requirements and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing 3D AXI / 3D SPI equipment.

- Experience in developing and implementing optical inspection solutions for server products.
