ZEED TALENT TECHNOLOGY SDN.BHD is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee daily operations of the Engineering Department in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will set annual goals, drive staff performance, and manage cross-functional teams across R&D, process engineering, testing, production, and quality to ensure robust product quality and on-time delivery.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in optical module engineering or engineering management.
• Hands-on experience in 400G/800G/1.6T high-speed optical module manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed optical module manufacturing processes (die bonding, wire bonding, optical coupling, testing).
• Experience with ASM die bonders, wire bonders, coupling machines and related equipment.
• Proficient in using optical/high-speed testing equipment (oscilloscopes, BERT, OSA, optical power meters, optical switches).
• Strong experience in yield improvement, production efficiency, process optimization, troubleshooting, mass-production support.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, project coordination, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred for HQ communication.

Responsabilidades

• Fully responsible for daily operational management of the Engineering Department, including goals and work plans.
• Lead yield and production efficiency improvement for optical device/module packaging processes and standardize workflows.
• Coordinate R&D, process engineering, testing, production, and quality teams to resolve key production issues.
• Analyze FPY and OEE metrics; develop and implement improvement plans.
• Develop engineering talent and succession planning to strengthen technical capabilities.
• Coordinate technology transfer and ramp-up between sites, including equipment commissioning and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Fully responsible for the daily operational management of the Engineering Department, including setting annual goals and work plans, staffing, and performance management.

Lead yield and production efficiency improvement for optical device and optical module packaging processes, and establish standardized process flows and documentation systems.

Lead and coordinate R&D, process engineering, testing, production, and quality teams to analyze and resolve key technical issues in production.

Analyze key mass-production metrics such as First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), develop and implement improvement plans, and continuously enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Develop engineering talent and support succession planning to strengthen the team's technical capabilities and execution.

Coordinate technology transfer and production ramp-up activities between manufacturing sites, including equipment commissioning, personnel training, process implementation, and capacity ramp-up.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Optical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Communication Engineering, Electronic Information, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in optical module engineering or engineering management, with hands-on experience in 400G/800G/1.6T high-speed optical module manufacturing preferred.

Strong knowledge of high-speed optical module manufacturing processes, including die bonding, wire bonding, optical coupling, and testing.

Experience with optical module manufacturing equipment such as ASM die bonders, wire bonders, coupling machines, and other relevant process equipment.

Proficient in using common optical and high-speed testing equipment, including sampling oscilloscopes, BERT, optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, optical switches, and related equipment.

Strong experience in yield improvement, production efficiency, process optimization, troubleshooting, and mass-production support.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, project coordination, and cross-functional communication skills.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred for effective communication with the China-based HQ.

Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
