Job summary

Hilti (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Engineer to provide technical support and drive sales by collaborating with designers and specifiers. You will help secure specifications for Hilti engineered products, consult on innovative designs, and contribute to smarter, stronger and more sustainable projects with sound engineering judgment.

You will visit engineering and architectural firms, conduct seminars, and support the sales team by converting specifications into orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering from any discipline.
• 5+ years in design of structures/Architecture OR 3-4 years in Sales/BD in engineering.
• Experience working with Structural or Non-structural Designers or Architects preferred.
• Very good communication in English.
• Strong teamwork and commitment.
• Self-motivated to exceed business targets.
• Experience handling large multi-department accounts.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned engineering and architectural firms, offices and projects to identify opportunities to specify Hilti software, services and products.
• Conduct seminars for engineers, architects, and contractors to raise awareness of Hilti applications.
• Contribute to growth via technical project management.
• Focus project specifications of Hilti products; support sales by converting specs into sales; hold project meetings with local sales.
• Provide technical support, training and advice on software, services and products.
• Explain digital technical resources to architects, engineers, customers and sales team.
• Support marketing with development, launch and maintenance of software, services and products.

In this role, you will provide technical support and drive sales by partnering with designers and specifiers to solve complex challenges using Hilti solutions. You will secure commitments for specification or approval of Hilti engineered products, consult on innovative designs, and help customers build smarter, stronger, and more sustainably while protecting projects with sound engineering judgment. This is where collaboration meets impact, and your expertise shapes the future of construction.

What You’ll do

• Visiting assigned engineering and architectural firms, customer offices and construction projects regularly to identify opportunities to specify and use of Hilti software, services and products.
• Conducting seminars for engineers, architects, and contractors to raise awareness and create understanding of all existing and new applications where Hilti products, software, and services are relevant. At the same time, learn about engineers', architects', and contractors' future projects and explore potential business.
• Contributing towards the company’s growth and profitability through technical project management.
• Taking responsibility for focus project specification of Hilti products, supporting the sales team in their efforts to sell a variety of Hilti solutions. This involves uploading and communicating specifications in Salesforce, working with the sales team to convert those specifications into sales and holding project meetings in conjunction with the local sales team.
• Provide technical support, training and advice to engineers, architects, customers and the sales team on all available software, services and products, consistent with the company's objectives and marketing strategy.
• Understanding of the digital technical resources and ability to explain their availability and use to our architects, engineers, customers, and sales team
• Support marketing team with the development, launch and maintenance of software, services and products.

What You’ll Bring

• 1. Bachelor or Master of Engineering from any discipline
• 2. More than 5 years of experience in design of structures/Architecture OR 3-4 years of Sales/Business Development experience in engineering sector (preferably civil/construction industry)
• 3. Experience of working with Structural/ Non-structural Designers or Architects will be highly preferable
• 4. Very good in communication (English is must)
• 5. Very good in teamwork and commitment
• 6. Persistent and self-motivated to overachieve the business targets
• 7. Experience in handling large and multi department accounts
