Job summary

Brain Activation Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher for the Early Intervention team in Malaysia. You will work with children with developmental delays and learning differences, delivering individualized support and structured interventions to enhance cognitive, communication, social, and adaptive skills.

Responsibilities include planning IEPs, conducting sessions, monitoring progress, and collaborating with therapists and parents.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field
• Experience in early intervention or working with children with special needs is preferred
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese due to language barriers
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and developmental milestones
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and documentation skills

Job description

The teacher will work closely with young children with developmental delays and learning differences, providing individualized support and structured intervention to enhance their cognitive, communication, social, emotional, and adaptive skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on each child’s developmental needs

Conduct structured early intervention sessions (1-to-1 and small group settings)

Support children with speech delays, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, global developmental delay, and other learning challenges

Monitor, assess, and document students’ progress regularly

Prepare teaching materials and adapt curriculum to suit different learning abilities

Work collaboratively with therapists, shadow aides, and parents

Provide guidance and strategies to parents for home support

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Qualifications:

• 1) Strong understanding of special education, teaching methods, and behavioural interventions.
• 2) Have a bachelor's degree in Education/Psychology/Special Education
• 3) Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team.
• 4) Ability to assess and address the diverse needs of students with various disabilities.
• 5) Effective communication skills to build strong relationships with families and external stakeholders.
• 6) Problem-solving skills to handle complex situations and implement proactive solutions.

Requirements :

Diploma or Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field
