Job Overview:
Special Education Needs Teacher will coordinate and provide developmentally appropriate educational services to students whose abilities differ from their peers.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field (special education, early childhood education, psychology & etc)
• 2 - 5 years experience teaching in a special education school or center.
• Ability to create IEPs;
• Ability to build good relationships with children, parents, Teachers, and Social Workers;
• Ability to work well with children from different backgrounds who have different abilities;
• Well-organized and self-driven to devise and adopt new techniques for teaching and keeping the class orderly;
• Ability to manage the classroom despite challenging behavior;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Compassionate, kind, and patient with kids;
• Excellent leader and mentor for students;
• Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to understand each individual student;

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Assess students' abilities and craft teaching plans;
• Adapt learning materials to students' needs;
• Keep track of and reflect on students' progress;
• Identifies the student's needs and develops related lesson and teaching plans.
• Teaching a group of students inside and outside of the classroom;
• Preparing and executing lessons and resources;
• Develops individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student, setting learning goals and adopting modifications as necessary; ensures each students activities and lessons are planned and organized according to his/her abilities;
• Updating parents on their kids' progress and giving recommendations to promote a better learning environment at home;
• Performs other related duties as assigned;
• Designing activities to achieve the learning goals of the students;

• Using special tools and equipment provided to stimulate and interesting learning environment;
• The preparation of teaching/therapy materials;
• The preparation and submissions of reports for all the sessions carried out;
• The counselling of existing and potential students;

• Collaborating with the therapists to create holistic interventions plan.
