Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related field.
• Experience 2–5 years in procurement or material management.
• Background in energy, electronics is a plus.
• Knowledge of supplier lifecycle, contract/order management, market analysis.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, inspection/return, and ECHS changes.

Responsibilities

• Manage material delivery and ensure timely supply of materials.
• Manage purchase orders, track delivery, ensure price accuracy.
• Monitor market supply in real time and adjust procurement strategy.
• Evaluate supplier capacity and perform capacity planning.
• Adjust delivery schedules and manage excess inventory.
• Handle defective/ excess inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and participate in EHS programs.

Job description

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will manage material delivery and procurement processes to ensure timely and accurate supply, including purchase order management, delivery tracking, and price control. You will monitor market conditions and supplier capacity to support procurement strategies, adjust delivery schedules based on demand changes, and optimize inventory levels. The role also involves handling incoming material issues in collaboration with quality and suppliers, managing defective and excess inventory, and ensuring compliance with company EHS policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material delivery and ensure timely supply of materials
• Manage purchase orders, track timely order delivery, and ensure price accuracy
• Monitor market supply situation in real time and update procurement strategy accordingly
• Evaluate supplier capacity and conduct capacity planning to ensure sufficient supply
• Adjust delivery schedules based on changing demand and manage excess inventory
• Manage raw material inventory across assigned categories
• Handle abnormal incoming materials in collaboration with quality and suppliers
• Clean up and manage defective products and coordinate with domestic factories and suppliers
• Comply with company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and participate in EHS programs and training as required

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2 - 5 years working experience in procurement or material management
• Background in new energy or electronics industry is an added advantage
• Good knowledge of procurement business including supplier life cycle management, contract order management and supply market analysis
• Familiar with procurement business processes, inspection and return processes, and engineering change management procedures
• Understand upstream and downstream market information for materials under your responsibility, including industry development trends and advantages and disadvantages of various resources
• Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing; speaking and understanding Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in SAP, ERP, and Excel office software
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with professional field negotiation skills
