Filtermation (Mfg) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support the General Manager by finding, qualifying and managing suppliers that keep our HVAC manufacturing operations competitive. You will conduct hands-on sourcing, run RFQs, prepare cost comparisons and follow up samples and projects with cross-functional teams.

This role requires 5+ years in sourcing or procurement in a manufacturing setting, experience with Chinese or overseas suppliers, Mandarin and English proficiency, strong

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• At least 5 years of sourcing, procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with suppliers from China or other overseas markets.
• Able to read, write and communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
• Good with Excel: can build cost comparisons and tracking sheets.

Responsabilités

• Search for and screen new suppliers locally and internationally, especially in China, for materials, components and sub-contract services.
• Collect supplier information, certificates, capability details and samples, and prepare supplier evaluation reports for the General Manager.
• Support supplier audits, factory visits and capability assessments, and keep the records.
• Keep the approved and potential supplier list up to date, including alternative sources for critical items.
• Prepare and send RFQs (requests for quotation), and follow up until all quotations are received.
• Build cost comparisons and price benchmarks for materials, components and processes.
• Track sourcing projects and new product introduction (NPI) items: samples, trials, approvals and timelines.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery and price performance and update the supplier scorecards.
• Follow up supplier quality and delivery issues and corrective actions until they are closed.
• Hand over new suppliers and agreed prices to Purchasing so purchase orders can be raised correctly.

The Sourcing Specialist supports the General Manager in finding, qualifying and managing suppliers that make the company more competitive. The role does the hands-on sourcing work: searching for and comparing suppliers, running quotation requests, preparing cost comparisons, following up samples and projects, and tracking supplier performance. It works closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Production and Quality.

Key responsibilities

Search for and screen new suppliers locally and internationally, especially in China, for materials, components and sub-contract services

Collect supplier information, certificates, capability details and samples, and prepare supplier evaluation reports for the General Manager

Support supplier audits, factory visits and capability assessments, and keep the records

About you
