MFG TECHNOLOGY SDN. BHD. is seeking a sourcing professional to identify and develop suppliers locally and overseas for raw materials, components, tooling, and services. You will evaluate quotations based on price, quality, lead time, and compliance.
The role requires a Diploma in a related field and 2–3 years in sourcing or procurement, with strong negotiation and analytical skills. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is a plus.
Source, identify, and develop qualified local and overseas suppliers for raw materials, components, tooling, equipment, consumables, packaging, and subcontracting services required by the company.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, technical capability, lead time, capacity, payment terms, delivery performance, and compliance requirements.
Conduct price comparison, cost analysis, and commercial negotiation with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and continuous cost reduction.
Support new project sourcing activities, including RFQ issuance, quotation collection, sample arrangement, supplier selection, and project cost evaluation.
Coordinate supplier qualification and onboarding activities, including collection of company profiles, certifications, compliance documents, questionnaires, and other required documentation.
Maintain and continuously develop theApproved Supplier List (ASL)and sourcing database, including supplier capability, quotation history, pricing, lead time, MOQ, and commercial terms.
Monitor market conditions and identify alternative sources for critical materials or services to minimize supply chain risks.
Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, MOQ, tooling charges, payment terms, delivery terms, and other purchasing conditions.
Ensure sourced suppliers and materials comply with customer, quality, regulatory, environmental, and company requirements, including applicable ISO/IATF requirements.
Prepare sourcing reports, cost comparison reports, supplier evaluation summaries, and cost-saving reports for management review.
Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of sourcing, procurement, or supplier development experience, preferably in manufacturing, electronics, automotive, connector, stamping, injection molding, or related industries.
Good knowledge of supplier sourcing, RFQ processes, quotation comparison, cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and commercial negotiation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 supplier management requirements is an advantage.
Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
