Job summary

Curas Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a sourcing professional based in Butterworth to support supplier selection and negotiation for Asian-origin products. You will manage sourcing tasks, work with internal teams, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies.

The role focuses on achieving targeted prices, quality, and packaging specs, while delivering cost savings and maintaining strong supplier relationships. English and Mandarin communication is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or related field.
• 1-2 years working experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Good communication in English; Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, select and liaise with suppliers of products from Asia
• Manage and handle sourcing tasks of assigned products
• Negotiate and liaise with suppliers to achieve required targeted price, product quality, packing and packaging requirements
• Identify and deliver continuous savings through effective communication with suppliers
• Work with suppliers and internal team to ensure delivery of consistent quality that meets the required product specification and regulatory requirement
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and responsible in issuing purchase order to suppliers and vendors
• Control and manage cost master file, sourcing file and production status file
• Coordinate with other department on deliveries, inspection of product, product specification, regulatory requirement
• Maintain long-term supplier relationship with suppliers, through effective communication

Key responsibilities

Source, negotiate, select and liaise with suppliers of products from Asia

Manage and handle sourcing tasks of assigned products

Negotiate and liaise with suppliers to achieve required targeted price, product quality, packing and packaging requirements

Identify and deliver continuous savings through effective communication with suppliers

Work with suppliers and internal team to ensure delivery of consistent quality that meets the required product specification and regulatory requirement

Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and responsible in issuing purchase order to suppliers and vendors

Control and manage cost master file, sourcing file and production status file

Coordinate with other department on deliveries, inspection of product, product specification, regulatory requirement

Maintain long-term supplier relationship with suppliers, through effective communication

Requirements

Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or any other related field

1 - 2 years working experience, preferably in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, stock management or customer service

Good communication skill in English and preferably also Mandarin

Result oriented, energetic, proactive, multi-tasking and able to work independently

Good interpersonal skill and ability to interact with people of all levels in the company and externally with suppliers

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office application, especially Excel

Good negotiation skill and enjoy mathematic calculation
