Pro Life Medical Supplies Sdn. Bhd, established since 2008 with a head office in Lahat, Perak, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager in Malaysia. You will lead procurement operations, develop and realign systems, and ensure compliance with GDPMD, MDA, and ISO 13485 while strengthening supplier relationships.

You will collaborate with Warehouse, Sales, Finance and Management to forecast demand, optimize stock levels and negotiate favourable terms for uninterrupted product supply.

Qualifikationen

• 6–10 years of purchasing or procurement experience, including team management responsibilities.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and realign procurement systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of strategic procurement planning, costing, budgeting, purchasing, demand forecasting, and stock management control.
• Practical knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining GDPMD, MDA regulatory requirements, ISO 13485, and other relevant standards.
• Experience in establishing and managing supplier qualification systems, conducting supplier audits, and implementing supplier evaluation systems.
• Strong supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing capabilities.
• Advanced negotiation, cost control, and budget management skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop, implement, and realign procurement systems, policies, procedures, and workflows to improve efficiency and controls.
• Develop and execute strategic procurement plans, including cost planning, budgeting, purchasing strategies, demand forecasting, and inventory management control.
• Manage overall purchasing and procurement operations to ensure timely procurement, optimal stock levels, and uninterrupted product supply.
• Establish, implement, and maintain supplier qualification systems, supplier audit procedures, and supplier evaluation systems.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with GDPMD, MDA, ISO 13485, and other quality standards.
• Negotiate major contracts, pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve favorable terms.
• Monitor budgets, control procurement costs, and lead cost reduction initiatives.
• Review supplier performance, product quality, delivery reliability, and compliance with requirements.
• Identify procurement risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Management to align purchasing with business needs.

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and strengthen our purchasing and procurement operations. The ideal candidate should be capable of developing and realigning procurement systems, implementing strategic procurement planning, controlling costs and inventory, and ensuring compliance with applicable medical-device quality and regulatory standards. You will work closely with Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Management to ensure uninterrupted supply, optimise procurement efficiency, and establish strong strategic supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

Develop, implement, and realign procurement systems, policies, procedures, and workflows to improve operational efficiency and internal controls.

Develop and execute strategic procurement plans, including cost planning, budgeting, purchasing strategies, demand forecasting, and inventory management control.

Manage overall purchasing and procurement operations to ensure timely procurement, optimal stock levels, and uninterrupted product supply.

Establish, implement, and maintain supplier qualification systems, supplier audit procedures, and supplier evaluation systems.

Ensure purchasing activities comply with applicable GDPMD, MDA requirements, ISO 13485, and other relevant quality management and regulatory standards.

Negotiate major contracts, pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve competitive purchasing costs and favourable commercial terms.

Monitor purchasing budgets, control procurement costs, and lead cost reduction initiatives.

Review supplier performance, product quality, delivery reliability, and compliance with established requirements.

Identify procurement risks, supply chain disruptions, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Work closely with Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Management to align purchasing plans with business requirements, sales forecasts, and stock availability.

About you
