Job summary

KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is looking for a procurement professional to identify, evaluate and develop suppliers, strengthening the supply base for a competitive manufacturing environment.

You will lead strategic sourcing, negotiate pricing and terms, conduct supplier audits, analyse product costing and market trends, monitor delivery performance and drive cost savings through cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent; or minimum 1 years of working experience in technical purchasing field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of product costing and pricing.
• Good analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Able to communicate and write effectively in English.
• Computer literate and comfortable working with Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Proactive, responsible and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop new suppliers/vendors to strengthen the supply base.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to achieve sustainable cost savings.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, terms & conditions, quality, delivery and service.
• Conduct supplier audits, visits, certification and performance reviews.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Analyse product costing, pricing and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate overall procurement costs including price, duty, freight, quality, flexibility and supplier performance.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure timely delivery of purchased items/parts.
• Ensure all items and parts stated in RFQs are properly sourced.
• Provide market intelligence on suppliers, materials, products and new technologies.
• Recommend improvements to sourcing processes and inventory optimisation.
• Support cross-functional projects and other ad hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
