Job summary

A leading industrial company located in Malaysia is seeking a skilled sourcing professional. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, and ensuring compliance with European material standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in technical sourcing and manage supplier performance. Candidates who can communicate in Mandarin are especially encouraged to apply. This position may require local and overseas travel.

Job description

Sourcing of supplier according to the need of material.

Evaluate suppliers base on standard evaluation procedure by ensuring suppliers meet European material and environmental standards.

Negotiate for better pricing before putting suppliers into certified listing.

Establish payment terms, delivery terms and incoterms.

Drive for supplier performance, compliance and follow up with suppliers’ corrective actions.

Work towards cost reduction by evaluating alternative materials or suppliers to maintain competitive quality and price of parts.

Implement strategies to improve supplier quality and to ensure supply chain continuity and also reduction in non-conformance material.

Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years working experience in technical sourcing, supplier negotiation and management.

Willing to travel both locally and oversea.

Ability to analyze price history and trends.

Able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
