Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing or related role.
• Proven abilities to analyze various sources of information and familiar with production cost modeling and margin analysis.
• Experience maintaining accuracy of quoting models and information in the operating system to ensure accurate cost and quoting programs.
• Must be detail and able to efficiently organize information.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Parts sourcing for new bidding projects and sustaining projects on mechanical parts.
• Review, compare and verify quotations from suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with SDE to identify suppliers who can provide competitive pricing and meet service levels.
• Identify opportunities and work on cost reductions with suppliers and internal teams.
• Coordinate supplier scorecard activities and participate in business reviews as applicable.
• Ensure contract and agreement compliance and drive PPV and continuous improvements.
• Serve as escalation point for component issues as appropriate.

Job description

Parts sourcing for New Bidding Project and Sustaining Projects on all Mechanical Parts

Review, compare and verify the quotations from suppliers to achieve a most competitive pricing

Collaborate with SDE to identify competent suppliers who can provide competitive material pricing and meet expected service level

Identify opportunities and work on the cost reduction (CR) for existing parts with suppliers and internal

Works with supplier for FAIR submission before part delivery and participate in supplier and component qualifications and challenges

Coordinate supplier scorecard activities and facilitate business reviews, as applicable

Identify and implement contract and agreement compliance

Continuously drive PPV generation projects and secure continuous improvements and cost reductions

Function as point of escalation for component issues, as appropriate

About you

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing or related role
