Job summary

Located in Johor Kulai, this EMS company seeks a senior Sourcing Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years in mechanical procurement. You will identify and qualify suppliers, manage performance, and support audits to ensure RoHS/REACH compliance.

You will drive cost benchmarking, negotiate quotations, and support NPI sourcing from prototype to pilot, coordinating with global teams and cross-functional engineering and quality groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing Mechanical Engineering, preferably in the EMS industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical categories (e.g., metal, plastic, die-casting, stamping) and sourcing channels.
• Proven strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify mechanical/component suppliers.

Job Description:

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing Mechanical Engineering, preferably in the EMS
  industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical categories (e.g., metal, plastic, die-casting, stamping) and
  sourcing channels.
• Good understanding and rich knowledge of the mechanical category and sourcing channels.
• Proven strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Preference will be given to candidates with an established mechanical supplier base in Malaysia.
• Skilled in supplier negotiation, cost breakdown analysis, and price benchmarking.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with global and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, self-driven, and excellent at troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal and written.
