Sinergia Talents is seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist in Malaysia to review, estimate, and justify mechanical part unit pricing. You will prepare costed BOMs, coordinate bid strategy with the sales team, and interpret customer requirements to maximize profitability and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing or related role.
• Proven ability to analyze various sources of information and familiarity with production cost modeling and margin analysis.
• Experience maintaining accuracy of quoting models and information in the operating system to ensure accurate cost and quoting programs.
• Must be very detail oriented and able to efficiently organize information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Parts sourcing for new bidding projects and sustaining projects on all mechanical parts.
• Review, compare and verify quotations from suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with SDE (IPO) to identify suppliers providing competitive pricing and service levels.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities with suppliers and internal teams.
• Work with suppliers for FAIR submissions before part delivery.

Job description

Able to review, estimate and justify on mechanical part unit pricing. Provides competitive quotations to customers by utilizing cost model and market pricing knowledge for the preparation of costed BOM for projects. Coordinates bid strategy with sales team and interprets customer requirements to offer solutions that maximize profitability and add value for the customer. Ensures consistent, competitive and profitable pricing. Communicates and practices pricing strategies in support of ongoing sales efforts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Parts sourcing for New Bidding Project and Sustaining Projects on all Mechanical Parts.
• Review, compare and verify the quotations from suppliers to achieve a most competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with SDE (IPO) to identify competent suppliers whom can provide competitive material pricing and meeting expected service level.
• Identify the opportunity and work on the cost reduction (CR) for existing parts with suppliers and internal
• Work with supplier for FAIR submission before part delivery.
