Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a sourcing engineer to lead supplier development across mechanical, electrical, plastics, metals, and PCB components. You will manage RFQs, evaluate suppliers technically and commercially, and support NPI with capable suppliers to ensure timely material readiness.

The role requires 3–5 years in sourcing engineering, an engineering degree, and strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.

Qualifications

• Preferred 3 - 5 years of experience in sourcing engineering.
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Supply Chain Management)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new suppliers for mechanical, electrical, plastic, metal, machining, sheet metal, PCB, cable assembly and custom components.
• Manage RFQ activities, including supplier selection, quotation comparison, cost analysis and recommendation.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by identifying capable suppliers and ensuring timely material readiness.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead time, MOQ, tooling cost and commercial agreements.
• Lead cost reduction and value engineering initiatives with suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOMs and technical requirements with Engineering.
• Coordinate sample submission FA and qualification activities with suppliers and Quality teams.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness and cost competitiveness.
• Perform supplier audits and capability assessments when required.
• Resolve supplier-related technical and commercial issues.
• Maintain sourcing database, AVL, quotation records and sourcing documentation.
• Support procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings for project development and supplier management.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.

Job Requirements:
