Job summary

Premier Farnell in Malaysia seeks a Business Development professional to identify opportunities and support the customer sales strategy for supplier offerings. You will develop and maintain relationships with supplier business units to drive collaboration and growth.

You will apply technical and marketing expertise to position Premier Farnell as the distributor of choice, coordinating with DSM and SBM as applicable to increase product knowledge for customers and field sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and market knowledge.
• Ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Understanding of hardware and software solution development.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for business expansion in support of the customer sales strategy.
• Develops and maintains business relationships with supplier units to drive collaboration.
• Defines and implements hardware and software based solutions through engineering development.
• Drives product and supplier knowledge with sales teams and attends supplier meetings.
• Performs analysis and reports results of supplier programs.
• Keeps knowledge on products, competitors, technology and customers.
• Identifies and maintains field supplier relationships to create demand for products and services.
• Communicates roadblocks to Product Business Groups and recommends improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
