Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Solutions Design Professional to join the Solutions Design team.

You will collaborate with Business Development, customers, Operations and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop practical, innovative logistics solutions. You will support the Contract Logistics sales process from concept to tender presentation, including costing models and technical proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
• 2–5 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing and transportation.
• Experience in consulting, business development, or project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for new projects with Business Development.
• Analyse customer requirements and support Q&A sessions.
• Work with Procurement, IT, Real Estate & Facilities, HRD, QHSE, QMS and Operations to plan resources.
• Develop resource planning, warehouse space utilisation, and operational analysis.
• Prepare costing models and pricing structures.
• Present proposed technical solutions during tender meetings.
• Collaborate with customers, Business Development, Operations, Finance, IT, suppliers, and regional teams.

Job description

CEVA Logistics is looking for a Solutions Design Professional to join our Solutions Design team in Kuala Lumpur.

In this role, you will work closely with Business Development, customers, Operations and other cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and develop practical, innovative and commercially viable logistics solutions.

You will play an important role in supporting the Contract Logistics sales process, from understanding customer requirements and developing solution concepts through to preparing technical solutions, costing models and presenting solutions during tender selection meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop solutions for new projects and business opportunities.
• Analyse customer requirements and support customer Q&A sessions.
• Work closely with Procurement, IT, Real Estate & Facilities, HRD, QHSE, QMS, and Operations teams to determine the resources required for project implementation.
• Develop resource planning, warehouse space utilisation, and operational analysis based on customer bidding requirements.
• Prepare costing models based on project requirements and recommend optimal pricing models and rate structures.
• Evaluate innovative solutions and ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and commercially viable.
• Develop technical solutions including:
• Warehouse layouts
• Process flows
• Material flows
• Operational concepts
• Present proposed technical solutions during tender selection meetings.
• Work closely with customers, Business Development Managers, Operations, Finance, IT, suppliers, ZDS teams, and regional Solutions Design teams.

What We're Looking For

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of warehousing and transportation.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as Consulting, Business Development, or Project Management is preferred.
