Job summary

ORTUS SYNERGY SDN BHD is seeking a drafting specialist to prepare and develop detailed solar PV system drawings, layouts and technical documentation based on project requirements. The role involves creating solar panel/module layouts, inverter layouts, cable routing and equipment arrangements using AutoCAD, and assisting in SLDs for solar PV projects.

Review architectural, structural and electrical drawings to ensure accurate solar system layouts, and coordinate with project engineers and site

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV or renewable energy is a plus.

Job description

Prepare and develop detailed solar PV system drawings, layouts and technical documentation based on project requirements. The role involves creating solar panel/module layout, inverter layout, cable routing and equipment arrangement drawings using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software, as well as assisting in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and other technical drawings for solar PV projects.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and develop detailed solar PV system drawings, layouts and technical documentation based on project requirements

Prepare solar panel/module layout, inverter layout, cable routing and equipment arrangement drawings

Prepare and revise 2D drawings using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software

Assist in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and other technical drawings for solar PV projects

Review architectural, structural and electrical drawings to ensure accurate solar system layouts

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, technical requirements and relevant standards

Coordinate with Project Engineers, site teams, consultants and other relevant parties to clarify drawing requirements

Make revisions to drawings based on site conditions, engineering changes and project requirements

Maintain proper documentation and filing of drawings, revisions and project records

About you

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, CAD/Drafting, Renewable Energy or other related disciplines

Proficient in AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software

Basic understanding of technical drawings, dimensions, layouts and construction drawings

Able to read and interpret engineering, architectural and/or structural drawings

Good attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings

Able to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with engineers and project teams

Willing to learn and develop knowledge in solar PV design and project requirements

Willing to travel to project sites when required

Experience in solar PV drafting/design or construction-related drafting is an added advantage

Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical layouts or renewable energy is an advantage
