Job summary

The Parkland Group is seeking a Solar Drafter for a full-time, on-site role based in Taman Kota Syahbandar, Malaysia. You will prepare detailed solar layout drawings, plans and schematics using AutoCAD and related design tools for our renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities include interpreting engineering specs, coordinating with project engineers and site teams, updating drawings for design changes and site conditions, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or related technical field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and basic knowledge of solar PV layouts.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, site plans, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
• Experience in construction or renewable energy projects is a plus.

Role Description

• The Solar Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Taman Kota Syahbandar. In this position, the team member prepares detailed solar layout drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD software and other design tools.
• Responsibilities include interpreting engineering and architectural specifications, coordinating with project engineers and site teams, and updating drawings to reflect design changes and site conditions.
• The role involves ensuring drawings comply with local regulations, safety standards, and project guidelines, as well as organizing and maintaining drawing documentation and revisions.
• The Solar Drafter also supports project planning by providing accurate measurements, material take-offs, and technical information for construction and installation teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design AutoCAD software and basic knowledge of solar PV system layouts and components.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, site plans, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in drafting, and good documentation and file management practices.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and site teams.
• Prior experience in construction, property development, or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
